
I was first introduced to Your Slim Vision through my sister. I had tried every imaginable diet and even though I had been successful here and there, losing 10 pounds on one or 15 or another, never lasted long and it was always, always a struggle. I would end up feeling hungry, deprived and, ultimately, as if I had failed.
I might do well with a diet and then I'd be in a situation where there was pizza or fries or ice cream or some seemingly delicious food and I lost whatever control I thought I might have had. Even though the diets changed, the pattern was the same every time. And even though I committed to every diet every time, I failed every time, too. You can imagine what it does to your self-esteem when you feel you’re doing your best and your best doesn't seem to be good enough.
So when my sister told me about YSV, I figured, what do I have to lose (except the weight!). I found the system itself, with the DVDs and the CDs to be very easy to start using and then to incorporate into my every-day life. More than anything, the CDs relaxed me and helped me settle down after a long day. I even took them with me when I was traveling for work.
There was never any earth-shattering moment of change. What I found is that over the course of the first few weeks, along with my relaxation, I started thinking less about food, less about will power and without much thought or massive changes, the pounds started coming off.
To those of you out there looking for a "magic" pill – this isn't and there isn't one! This is not a lose-weight-quickly scheme – it is about losing gradually and keeping it off. My co-workers and friends started asking me what I was doing and what diet I was following because the results started speaking for themselves. And throughout this whole time, I never felt deprived or as if I needed to summon enormous will power to resist something. It was just very natural and easy.
It's been about 3 or 4 months now, and nothing has ever felt better for me. After the first month or so, anytime I feel I need more support or a reminder, I just re-listen to the CDs and get right back in the groove.
I look forward to continuing to lose the weight and to keeping it off. I'm enjoying the positive feedback and comments, I love buying new clothes and smaller sizes and I just feel better all-around.
